Who We Are
The Free Reformed Church (FRC) of Legana is made up of local residents living in or around the Legana area. We gather together in worship twice every Sunday and also have some additional worship services throughout the year, such as Christmas day, Easter, Good Friday and others.
Our church was instituted on 4 December 1988. Our members originally worshipped at our neighbouring “sister” church, the FRC of Launceston. Because of significant growth in numbers, a second church was instituted, with the Kings Bridge forming a natural boundary for membership.
Growth
Legana is one of the fastest growing suburbs in Tasmania. There is planning in place for an additional school, shopping hub, and high density housing.
This is exciting for us, as we would hope that many residents that are new to the area will come and worship with us, and perhaps even join our bible study groups.
Future
As Legana grows, we invite you to come and join us and grow with us, not only in numbers, but also in spiritual growth, in faith, in our love for God, in serving Him, and by being a part of our community. The preaching of God’s Word, which forms an integral part of our worship services, is like an open treasure chest. It is full of good things and such an encouragement for our daily life.
We welcome you to be part of this wonderful and joyful journey.
